GREENVILLE, S.C. (January 10, 2018) – Lisa Arnold will serve as assistant professor in the division of nursing in the College of Arts and Science at Bob Jones University starting in the spring 2018 semester which begins in January. Arnold previously served as the nursing lab coordinator and as an adjunct clinical instructor at BJU.
“Mrs. Arnold has been doing a wonderful job working with our nursing students in a non-faculty capacity for some time now, so we are especially thrilled she will be joining the nursing faculty this semester,” said Dr. Renae Wentworth, dean of the College of Arts and Science. “She is a great asset to the nursing division, and she will now be able to have an even greater impact in her new faculty role.”
Arnold earned a BS in Nursing (1984) from BJU and a MS in Nursing Education (2018) from Chamberlain University in Downers Grove, Illinois.
Arnold has served as a nurse for over 30 years in a variety of clinical and educational settings. Arnold worked as a staff nurse at W. J. Barge Memorial Hospital and St. Francis Hospital in Greenville and at Anderson Memorial Hospital in Anderson. She also served as the assistant head nurse at St. Francis Hospital.
In addition, Arnold is a member of the International Nursing Association for Clinical Simulation and Learning (INACSL), the Carolinas Healthcare Simulation Alliance, and the Harvard School of Public Health Nurse’s Healthy Study. Arnold also serves on the medical safety team at Faith Baptist Church in Taylors.
“In working at BJU for the last six years, I have developed a love for students and a desire to continue the high quality education I received as a BJU BSN graduate,” said Arnold. “I am excited to expand my role at the Division of Nursing and am passionate about preparing today’s students to become excellent nurses, demonstrating Christ’s love in their service. I am truly honored to serve with such a great nursing faculty.”
