Leonardo Adames Mota Interns at the Central Bank of the Dominican Republic

Leonardo Adames Mota, a senior at Bob Jones University from Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, is gaining valuable hands-on experience through an internship with the Central Bank of the Dominican Republic in its Regulation and Stability Department.

In this role, Adames Mota assists in monitoring financial institutions to ensure compliance with regulatory frameworks. His daily responsibilities include analyzing economic and financial data, preparing reports on market stability, and supporting risk assessment evaluations—contributing to efforts that help maintain the overall soundness of the country’s financial system.

“This internship has allowed me to apply my academic knowledge to real-world scenarios, deepening my understanding of financial regulation and economic stability,” said Adames Mota. “The experience has strengthened my analytical skills and given me valuable insights into the role central banks play in safeguarding national economies, which will be crucial for my future career in finance.”
