GREENVILLE, S.C. (September 10, 2022) – Laura Beth Kirsop joined the Bob Jones University faculty this fall as an appointed assistant professor in the Division of Communication in the School of Fine Arts & Communication.

She earned a BA in theatre and an MA in communication from BJU.

Kirsop has served as director of communication for Ohio Right to Life, communications coordinator for KeenanSuggs Insurance, and special events and communications director for Piedmont Women’s Center.

In addition, she has been an account executive for Smoak Public Relations and served as communications director for John Warren for Governor

“Laura Beth brings her skills as a former communications director and public relations professional to the classroom, said Dr. Jeff Miller. “A former graduate assistant, she will be a great asset in recruiting, training, and overseeing our talented pool of graduate assistants.”

This academic year, Kirsop will be teaching Fundamentals of Speech and Oral Communications for the Professions.

“I am thrilled to be back at BJU as a faculty member. While my hope is for students to become effective communicators—my ultimate desire is for them to do so with the understanding of God’s love for them, and the importance of living out the gospel brightly in their interactions in their homes, churches, communities, and careers,” said Kirsop.

Kirsop attends Downtown Presbyterian Church.
