GREENVILLE, S.C. (September 17, 2024) – Kirby Rose joins the Bob Jones University faculty this fall as an assistant professor in the Division of Health Sciences in the School of Health Professions.
Rose earned a BS in Communication Sciences and Disorders and an MS in SpeechLanguage Pathology from Appalachian State University in Boone, North Carolina.
She previously served as a speech-language pathologist at The Advanced Institute for Development and Learning. Her clinical research experience includes work on the study Strong Body Strong Minds which used external memory aids to improve memory abilities and Theatre and Therapy which utilized script rehearsal to implement strategies to achieve communication goals in a group of young adults with disabilities.
This academic year, she will teach Anatomy and Physiology of Speech and Hearing Mechanisms (CD 207), Observation and Practicum (CD 300), Normal Language Development (CD 302), and Articulation and Phonology (CD 303).
I am excited to join the Communication Disorders faculty and Bob Jones University to support, encourage, and equip students to bring functional, therapeutic application into the classroom,” said Rose. “I have found my faith critical in my role as a speech-language pathologist with coworkers, clients, and caregivers and hope to help students do the same in their future professions.”
