GREENVILLE, S.C. (August 28, 2019) – Jessica Mullen will join the Bob Jones University faculty this fall as an instructor in the communications studies department in the School of Fine Arts and Communication.

Mullen earned a BA in international studies (2017) and an MA in communication studies (2019) from BJU. She will be teaching Oral Communication for the Professional classes.

“We welcome Jessica to the Division of Communication faculty here at BJU,” said Dr. Darren Lawson, dean of BJU’s School of Fine Arts and Communication. “She is a leader, a communicator, and a caring individual.”

Mullen is involved in the community as a Social Media Coordinator/SNAP Operations Director for the Travelers Rest Farmers Market. This summer, she conducted a food system assessment of Greenville County as part of her work on the Greenville Food and Farm Council.

She is a member of Palmetto Baptist Church in Moore, South Carolina, where she serves in the nursery, Juvenile Detention Center ministry and social media team.

“After gaining my master’s degree in communication this past May from BJU, I look forward to giving back to the University community and helping my students learn how communication affects their future professional impact more than any other facet,” said Mullen.
