GREENVILLE, S.C. (July 19, 2021) – Karie Jensen, a junior theatre major at Bob Jones University, is completing an internship with Overshadowed Theatrical Productions in Medinah, Illinois.

A resident of Clayton, North Carolina, Jensen serves as an artistic administration intern. She assists with research, the casting process, auditions, cataloging plays and all aspects of production. In addition, she helps run two summer camps and is learning about fundraising and marketing.

“Interning with Overshadowed has given me real-world experience in community theatre. During this summer, I have so enjoyed my time learning under Reba and her fantastic team. Community theatre is one of the most sacrificial environments an artist can work in, but it’s also one of the most rewarding,” said Jensen. “Overshadowed relies predominantly on volunteers to create and maintain their excellent shows, and I feel so honored to work alongside these diligent artists. This internship has allowed me to put into practice the skills I have learned in the classroom and in productions at BJU.”
