GREENVILLE, S.C. (November 9, 2023) – Hannah Davis, a senior health sciences major at Bob Jones University, is completing an internship with Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital in Greenville, South Carolina.
A resident of Jacksonville, Florida, she collaborates with the dietitian at Encompass. Her responsibilities include reviewing patient charts to devise nutrition interventions. Davis also shadows the dietitian as she conducts follow-up appointments and evaluates the prescribed interventions. Currently, Davis is working on a project to help patients receive their meal trays more efficiently.
“Throughout my time at Encompass, I have learned so much,” said Davis. “My incredible mentor has challenged me to grow and learn more about the field of dietetics. The internship as a whole has confirmed that this is the work I am called to do and has given me confidence in the abilities I have been given. It has also helped me appreciate more the quality education I have received at Bob Jones University. Through my time, I have also learned practical tips on how to prepare to be a dietitian in my home state with a different set of rules and regulations.”
