Gregory Harrington Presents Emerald Strings at BJU

GREENVILLE, S.C. (September 2, 2024) – Bob Jones University will host Emerald Strings with Gregory Harrington Thursday, Sept. 12, at 7:30 p.m. in Founder’s Memorial Amphitorium.

Internationally acclaimed violinist Gregory Harrington is highly regarded for his unique blend of classical mastery and Irish tradition. From the iconic sounds of Beethoven’s Moonlight Sonata to the rhythms of traditional jigs and reels, his performances take listeners on a journey that transcends genres and generations, weaving a story of Irish immigration up to the present day.

“We are thrilled to welcome the community to our first Artist Series program of the year,” said Nathan Pittack, associate producer of fine arts at BJU. “Born in Dublin, Ireland and based in New York City, Gregory is renowned for his expressive lyricism, exquisite tone and flawless musicianship. He has performed for U. S. presidents, the United Nations and audiences worldwide.”
