Dunn to Serve as Associate Professor of Business Administration at BJU

GREENVILLE, S.C. (August 23, 2016) – Dr. Adele Dunn will join the Bob Jones University faculty this fall as an associate professor of Business Administration in the School of Business. Dunn previously served as a Senior Lecturer in Marketing at the University of Ulster in Northern Ireland, specializing in innovation and entrepreneurship.

“Adele is an experienced educator, with proven success in the business world,” says Mike Buiter, dean of the School of Business at BJU. “Adele has a heart for the gospel, for doing God’s will, and for serving others. She is particularly excited to be in a Christ-centered environment where she can share her business knowledge and experience through the lens of a biblical worldview.”

Dunn earned a BS (Hons) in Food Services (1989) and a PhD (1993) from Queen’s University in Belfast, Northern Ireland. Dunn also earned a Post-Graduate Certificate and Diploma in Further and Higher Education (1996) and an MSc in Innovation and Entrepreneurship (2007) from the University of Ulster in Coleraine, Northern Ireland.

Previously, Dunn served as a research assistant at Queen’s University as well as a lecturer and acting department head at the University of Ulster. She has also been published in multiple scholarly journals and has also participated in several research projects for industry in the European Union.

Dunn has demonstrated a sustained record of teaching innovations that have impacted substantially higher education, including the development of a strategic partnership between Babson College and the University of Ulster. Dunn also chaired the Ulster Business School Placement Tutors Group, an organization which coordinates over 300 business internships annually.

Dr. Dunn is relocating to the Greenville area with her husband and two children who will attend Bob Jones Academy.
