Dr. Tammy Haislip Wins South Carolina Teaching Award

Dr. Tammy Haislip, a 2011 graduate of Bob Jones University, has been awarded the South Carolina Independent Colleges and Schools Excellence in Teaching Award. This grant is awarded to faculty members of private colleges and universities who have demonstrated excellence in innovation in teaching and scholarship.

Haislip, a resident of Greenville, received her doctorate in education from BJU in 2011. Haislip serves as a professor of education and the Coordinator of Elementary Education at Anderson University in Anderson, South Carolina.

As part of this award, Haislip will receive a grant for the development of a junior-level advanced course which pairs content areas with digital technology unto their future teaching practice. This course is designed to encourage students to develop hands-on learner-centered classroom environments.
