“I am pleased to welcome Dr. Evans to the business faculty,” said Dr. Robert Hucks, Division of Management chair. “His wealth of experience and heart for ministry will be a great resource for our growing Paralegal Studies program in which he will take a leading role.”

Evans earned a BS in electrical engineering and computer engineering from North Carolina State University in Raleigh, North Carolina. He later earned a JD at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Evans completed an MA of pastoral studies at BJU.

Evans has worked for several law firms in North Carolina on issues related to trademark and copyright applications. He has also served as general counsel for a technology firm. For several years, Evans worked as an administrator at The Wilds Christian Association, a nonprofit corporation that operates camps and conference centers in North Carolina and New Hampshire.

For eight years, Evans served in a church planting ministry in Sao Paulo, Brazil. Most recently, he managed attorneys and staff at the Olive Law Group, PLLC in Cary, North Carolina.

He is licensed to practice law in North Carolina and before the United States Patent and Trademark Office.

Evans joins BJU’s paralegal program where he will teach business administration courses including Legal Environment and Ethics of Business, Civil Litigation 1 and Property Law.

“As a new faculty member at BJU, I hope to use the knowledge and experience I have gained in both business and ministry to teach and guide my students along the path that God has for them,” said Evans.

Evans and his wife, Pam, have four children. They attend Faith Baptist Church in Taylors, South Carolina.
