Greenville, S.C (January 10, 2014) – David Gilbert was recently named partner in the law firm of Kirby, Gilbert, and Ashley, L.C. in Beckley, W.Va.
Gilbert received his BA in Prelaw from Bob Jones University in 1995. He graduated from Columbia Law School in 1998 and is licensed to practice in New York and West Virginia
Gilbert began his law practice in the New York City office of Kaye Scholer, where he was an associate in the corporate and finance department. He later worked for Richardson & Pullen, P.C., a general practice law firm in Fillmore, N.Y., and spent three years as an assistant district attorney in Allegheny County, N.Y.
For several years, David served on the faculty of Liberty University School of Law in Lynchburg, Va., teaching a number of classes and coaching Liberty’s highly successful negotiation competition teams.
David and his wife, Heather, have three children and reside in Nimitz, W.Va.
