GREENVILLE, S.C. (August 1, 2017) – Christina Aardsma, a senior criminal justice major at Bob Jones University, serves this summer as an intern for the Greenville County Sheriff’s Office.

Aardsma, a resident of Simpsonville, South Carolina, works in the Special Investigations Division and with a variety of departments including Crimes against Children, Juvenile Crimes, Domestic Violence, and Human Trafficking. Her responsibilities include interviewing victims or suspects, completing paperwork and making phone calls for investigators, watching hearings at family court, and observing autopsies.

“I have greatly enjoyed my summer internship as it has given me the opportunity to apply and experience the things I have been learning in my criminal justice courses,” said Aardsma. “My internship has given me a greater appreciation for the sacrifice and service that law enforcement officers are giving every day. I couldn’t have asked for a better division to be assigned to this summer.”
