GREENVILLE, S.C. (March 8, 2016) – Chelsea Moss, a senior journalism and mass communication major at Bob Jones University, recently won second place in the feature news category of the 2016 Broadcast Education Association Festival of Media Arts. Moss, a resident of Greenville, South Carolina, competed against students from across the country.

The BEA’s Festival of Media Arts is a competitive platform for both student and faculty members to compete in a variety of mediums. Hosted by the Charles & Lucille King Family Foundation, the festival includes competitions in categories such as audio projects, documentaries, news stories, scriptwriting, sports stories, and video projects.

“When she turned in the story, I knew it was one she needed to enter into competition,” says Kathryn Gamet, Moss’ electronic media professor. “She had a great mix of excellent video, good writing, and great natural sound and soundbites. It was a story most people would enjoy watching and she told it in a compelling way. I am proud of her and her hard work.”
