Casey Miller Named to the BJU Bruins Men’s Soccer Team

GREENVILLE, S.C. (March 30, 2016) – Casey Miller, a senior at Bob Jones Academy, was recently named to the Bob Jones University men’s soccer team roster for the fall of 2016.

A resident of Greenville, Miller played high school soccer at Bob Jones Academy and club soccer at Furman United Soccer Club. Miller is versatile player and has experience everywhere on the field with both his club and high school teams. While at BJA, Miller won the South Carolina Association of Christian Schools (SCACS) championship his sophomore, junior, and senior years. He captained the team his senior year finishing with an undefeated season. For the past three years, his club team has made it to the state playoffs and made runs into the semifinals at State Cup the last two years. Miller’s final goal with Furman United was scored against the #1 team in South Carolina and #35 team in the country.

“We are very excited to bring in a well-rounded group of players who have been very successful both on the field and in the classroom,” said BJU men’s soccer coach Jesse McCormick. “We look forward to challenging these young men to grow and excel during their time at BJU and we are excited about what they can bring to the team both on and off the field.”

Miller plans to major in sports management at BJU this fall.
