GREENVILLE, S.C. (August 21, 2024) – Brent Sivnksty (‘93) will preach the opening services of Bob Jones University’s fall 2024 semester. The services will be held Aug. 27-28 at 7 p.m. in Founder’s Memorial Amphitorium on the BJU campus.

“I’m looking forward to hearing Brent open the Word to our BJU family. Brent is a pastor, as well as, an evangelist, so he has a heart for the local church,” said BJU President Josh Crockett. “He also has a heart for BJU. Both of his sons are current students.”

Sivnksty has a BA in Bible and an MA in Pastoral Studies from BJU.

In the fall of ‘95, the Lord directed him to Burge Terrace Baptist Church in Indianapolis, Indiana. Brent served as youth pastor for three years and during that time the Lord brought his wife, Becky, into his life. The Lord then led them to Community Baptist Church in the fall of ’98 to serve with Dr. Bud Steadman. In 2003, they entered the ministry of evangelism. Throughout their ministry, Brent has preached in 45 states and 14 foreign countries.

He and Becky (’96), have two children: Hunter, a senior Biblical Studies major and Konner, a junior Ministry and Leadership major.

The services will be webcast live.
