Bob Jones University To Host Screening of Design Disruptors

GREENVILLE, S.C. (September 28, 2016) – The Division of Art and Design at Bob Jones University is hosting a screening of Design Disruptors, a new documentary about the rising importance of design as a competitive advantage in disruptive technologies, on Saturday, Oct. 1 at 7 p.m. in Stratton Hall on the BJU campus.

The hour-long film explores the transformative power of design through snapshots with today’s design leaders to discover the true nature of the design-driven business revolution happening around us, even right here in Greenville. Some of the disruptive companies sharing their insights include Facebook, Twitter, Netflix, Google, Pinterest, and Mail Chimp.

“The film will be of great benefit to students in many disciplines, opening their minds to the need for businesses that meet real market needs,” says Jay Bopp, chairman of the Division of Art and Design at BJU. “Entrepreneurs, business leaders, and designers of all disciplines will find the film informative, engaging, and inspirational.”

The Greenville and BJU chapters of the American Advertising Federation (AAF) are sponsoring the screening in association with the University Business Association (UBA) and the University Marketing Association (UMA).

The screening is free and open to the public. Designers and entrepreneurs across all industries are encouraged to join the faculty and students of BJU for this unique opportunity.
