GREENVILLE, S.C. (March 13, 2017) – In honor of the law enforcement professionals in Greenville County—and around the country—who serve and protect their communities each day, Bob Jones University will light the main fountain “blue” and fly “Thin Blue Line” flags on each of the 24 flag poles in center campus through March 18.

This is being done in conjunction with BJU hosting the Allen Jacobs Memorial Prayer Breakfast for area law enforcement personnel Thursday, March 16, in the Davis Room of the Davis-McKenzie Dining Common. The breakfast is being held to honor the memory of Greenville Police Department Officer Allen Jacobs who lost his life in the line of duty March 18, 2016, and to honor the men and women of law enforcement in Greenville County. BJU President Steve Pettit and Greenville Vice Mayor Pro Tem Gaye Sprague will address the gathering.
