GREENVILLE, S.C. (September 23, 2014) — Bob Jones University begins its 2014-2015 Concert, Opera and Drama Series Thurs., Oct. 2, as the BJU Symphony Orchestra performs with special guest, David Kim, concertmaster of The Philadelphia Orchestra.

The concert, which begins at 8 p.m. in the Founder’s Memorial Amphitorium on the BJU campus, will feature Kim performing one of the most popular violin concertos of all time, Saint-Saëns’ Violin Concerto No. 3—a riveting work in its beauty, passion, and power.

In addition, Kim will lead the string section of the orchestra in a performance of Grieg’s Holberg Suite and the Meditation from Massenet’s Thaïs.

The audience will find in Kim both a consummate artistry and engaging warmth that together should make for a spectacular evening of music.
