GREENVILLE, S.C. (January 31, 2019) – The Bob Jones University School of Education, in partnership with Bob Jones Academy (BJA) and BJU Press, is hosting an intensive educational advancement program for nearly 50 Chinese educators Jan.22 through Feb. 1.
Designed to develop an international relationship with Chinese educators, the program provides practical and meaningful education training. In sessions with BJU Press speakers and writers, Chinese educators are learning how to use BJU Press products, classroom management skills, and technology in their classroom.
“The faculty and students of the School of Education are enjoying the opportunity to collaborate with these teachers from China,” said Dr. Brian Carruthers, dean of the BJU School of Education. “While they come with a hunger to learn more about the art of teaching, it is our desire to learn more about their culture and system of education as well. I know that we will build many strong friendships during the time they are with us.”
In this collaborative effort, the School of Education is providing training on writing objectives, constructing lessons, assessing lessons and using educational strategies. Each participant is partnered with a BJA teacher who is guiding them through observing assisting and ultimately teaching in a BJA classroom.
