GREENVILLE, S.C. (June 12, 2017) – Bob Jones University welcomes the Class of 2021 to campus for summer orientation weekends held June 16-17 and June 23-24.

“We are excited to welcome our new students to campus and give them the chance to connect with students and faculty,” says Rebecca Weier, Director of Student Engagement and Success at BJU. “Summer Orientation is an opportunity to prepare personally, academically, socially and spiritually for the transition from high school to college. We believe that college is a transformative experience that has a significant relational component. Students who attend this event will have a significant advantage by building relationships before coming in the fall.”

This year’s Summer Orientation is redesigned to offer more sessions tailored to specific majors to help incoming students be more prepared. With over 20 different workshops and an interactive Q&A session with parents, faculty and students, Summer Orientation will address the most common questions students and parents have about coming to college.

A new event will also be offered this year called Sibling Sneak Peek, which will include an interactive session with Matthew Weathers, BJU’s Student Leadership Coordinator, as well as a behind the scenes tour of campus and an opportunity to meet some of the BJU faculty. The session will be offered on Friday from 9:45 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and is available to rising 7–12 grade students who are siblings to incoming students.

Registration for Summer Orientation and more information about the event is available on the BJU website here.
