GREENVILLE, S.C. (December 4, 2017) – Emily Park Golus, a 2005 Bob Jones University graduate, recently published her debut novel, “Escape to Vindor,” through Taberah Press.

“Escape to Vindor” tells the story of a teen who is trapped inside her own imaginary world. The book explores the themes of teen insecurity, the impact of our decisions, and the intrinsic worth of every individual.

Golus earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in creative writing (2005) and a Master of Arts degree in English (2007) from Bob Jones University. Golus previously served in BJU’s Communications department as editor of the BJU Review, Voice of the Alumni, and BJU Magazine.

Golus currently serves as Senior Inbound Marketing Producer at Waypost Marketing, an inbound marketing agency in Greenville.

“I owe a huge debt of gratitude to my BJU writing professors,” says Golus. “Each of my teachers taught me how to think clearly, encouraged me to keep writing, and gave me the tools I needed to communicate truth through the written word.”

A sequel is scheduled for a December 2018 release.
