BJU Alumnus Named Greenville County Economic Development Ambassador

Greenville, S.C. (March 22, 2013) The Greenville Area Development Corporation (GADC) recently named BJU graduate Peter Waldschmidt as the 2013 Greenville County Economic Development Ambassador.

GADC noted Waldschmidt’s leadership in the Greenville community for supporting the advancement of several programs including TEDxGreenville, NEXT Innovation Center and InternGreenville.com.

Governor Nikki Haley recognized Waldschmidt, along with ambassadors from all 46 South Carolina counties, during Industry Appreciation Week ceremonies at the State House in Columbia.

The new Greenville Ambassador currently serves as the CEO of Gnoso Inc., a software product company he founded.  He also co-founded TetraData Corporation and served as its chief technology officer prior to the selling of the company in 2006.

Waldschmidt graduated from BJU with a BS in Electrical Engineering. Peter also studied for an MBA at Clemson University.
