Binns to Serve as Assistant Professor of Nursing at BJU

GREENVILLE, S.C. (August 21, 2015) – Janiece Binns RN, MSN will serve as an assistant professor of Nursing in the College of Arts and Science at Bob Jones University this fall. Binns previously served as a professional staff nursing instructor at BJU.

“We’ve been looking forward to Janiece’s coming on board as a full-time faculty member in the nursing division,” said Dr. Renae Wentworth, dean of the College of Arts and Science at BJU. “She has a true passion for nursing and a genuine desire to educate young men and women to serve as the next generation of Christian nursing professionals.”

Binns earned a BSN (2010) from BJU and an MSN (2015) from Western Governor’s University in Salt Lake City, Utah.

Binns has served in various capacities with the Greenville Health System as a registered nurse in pediatrics and a staff nurse. She also served as an RN in ortho/med-surg at Pelham Medical Center in Greer and in orthopedics at Wellstar Kennestone Hospital in Marietta, Georgia. Binns has earned certifications in advanced cardiac life support and pediatric advanced life support.

A resident of Travelers Rest, Binns is an active member of Faith Baptist Church of Taylors. She participated in a medical missions trip to Trujillo, Peru this summer and has been an active medical volunteer for her church at various community events.
