GREENVILLE, S.C. (September 21, 2020) – Anna Pretlove joined the Bob Jones University faculty this fall as an assistant professor in the Division of Art + Design in the College of Fine Arts and Communication.

“We are thankful Anna has transitioned from adjunct faculty to appointed faculty this year. She brings up-to-the-minute industry knowledge and experience, both from her advanced degree pursuits in fashion design, and also from her work in the industry over the last few years,” said Jay Bopp, division chair. “As adjunct faculty, she spearheaded several initiatives. We are looking forward to exciting new developments in the program.”

Pretlove earned a BS in apparel, textiles and design from BJU. She is currently pursuing an MFA in fashion design from the Academy of Art University in San Francisco, California.

Pretlove previously served as a seamstress at Gregory Ellenburg Enterprises in Greenville, S.C. She also worked as a fashion designer and construction instructor at BJU EDUcamp.

She will be teaching Apparel Design 1, Digital Fashion and Fashion Studio I and II. Pretlove has been designated as the Fashion Design program champion (an advocate who serves as a resource to prospective students and as a liaison between University departments).

“The Lord has graciously and clearly led me back here to teach at BJU. I am so excited to see His handiwork in my student’s lives as well as my own,” said Pretlove.

Pretlove is a member of Bible Baptist Church in Simpsonville, S.C.
