GREENVILLE, S.C. (August 26, 2022) – Andrea Burch joined the Bob Jones University faculty this fall as an assistant professor in the Division of Nursing in the School of Health Professions.

“Andrea has functioned as clinical faculty several times with our program and we are excited to have her full time now. She will be working with our students in the classroom, clinical, and simulation training,” said Meghan Lanpher, Division of Nursing chair. “Her experience as a registered nurse and training as a nurse practitioner equip her to teach our students about disease processes and their impact on patients.”

Burch earned a BA from BJU, a BSN from Liberty University and an MSN from Chamberlain University.

She is a licensed advanced practice registered nurse (APRN). Burch previously served at Vitalink Research and as a staff nurse with Prisma Health and St. Francis Women’s and Family Hospital.

This academic year, Burch will teach Pathophysiology in the Nursing program and precept junior nursing students on their Mental Health rotations.

“I am so very excited to teach young people the basics that they need to know in order to be an excellent nurse,” said Burch. “And my biggest goal is to help them to grow in grace and to be more like their Savior.”

Burch and her husband, Brian, have two adult daughters. They attend Heritage Bible Church in Greer where she serves on the health care team and the worship team.
